UPM regrets to inform the death of a contractor worker in its construction site in Uruguay – Paso de los Toros

(UPM, Paso de los Toros, Monday 21st march 2022, 18:00 GMT-3) UPM regrets to inform the death of a UPM contractor worker at the construction mill site in Paso de los Toros.UPM expresses its condolences to his family and friends and decides to stop construction works for 24 hours.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 21, while the worker was driving an empty forklift inside the construction site. The emergency services immediately went to the area of the accident, where unfortunately the death of the worker was confirmed.
The company is working together with the authorities and contractor companies to carry out the corresponding investigations and identify the causes of the accident.
