Stora Enso joins Polestar 0 project to create a climate-neutral car by 2030
Stora Enso and Swedish electric car company Polestar have started collaboration to create a truly climate-neutral car by 2030. Stora Enso joins Polestar 0 project as a partner to contribute to the car’s climate neutrality with their bio-based battery material Lignode® by Stora Enso, made from trees.The Polestar 0 project, launched in 2021, aims to create a climate neutral car by 2030 by eliminating all sources of CO2 emissions – not only offsetting them – throughout the supply chain and production.

Su objetivo es sensibilizar al público sobre estas valiosas extensiones de agua, cuya conservación y restauración es clave para la biodiversidad, la adaptación y mitigación del cambio climático y la disponibilidad de agua dulce, así como las economías mundiales.

La OPEP+ no introduce cambios en sus planes de producción
El Comité Conjunto de Supervisión Ministerial (JMMC) de la OPEP+, grupo formado por la Organización de Países Exportadores de Petróleo (OPEP) y sus aliados, liderados por Rusia, ha determinado mantener el “statu quo” en la producción de petróleo, según lo acordado el pasado mes de octubre.Este comité técnico de la OPEP+ carece de poder de decisión en cuanto al volumen de producción de la organización, aunque sí puede realizar recomendaciones y solicitar reuniones extraordinarias de los ministros del cartel.

Protecting biodiversity on UPM’s eucalyptus plantations in Uruguay
In Uruguay, biological surveys have been carried out in areas owned by UPM since the early 1990s to help identify, classify and protect species and native ecosystems. At present the network of formal conservation areas covers nearly 14,000 hectares. The aim is to increase these protected areas and continue with UPM’s long term biodiversity programme.In 2020 UPM defined three biodiversity indicators for its land as part of its global biodiversity programme established in 1998.

Change in the Kemira Oyj’s Management Board: Linus Hildebrandt appointed as Executive Vice President, Strategy.VLinus Hildebrandt has been appointed to lead Kemira’s corporate strategy and will start in his new role on 1.6.2023. He joins Kemira from Covestro where he’s been Head of Corporate Strategy since 2017. Prior to Covestro he spent over 15 years in strategy consulting at Roland Berger in Germany and China and at Kearney where he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Asian Process Industries practice in Hong Kong. He has a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Technical University of Berlin.

Arabia Saudí invertirá 460 millones de euros en Argentina
Arabia Saudí invertirá un total de 500 millones de dólares (460 millones de euros) en Argentina para desarrollar proyectos energéticos y de salud alimentaria en el país.Así lo ha anunciado el embajador de Arabia Saudí en Argentina, Hussein Mohammad Abdulfatah, tras una reunión con el ministro de Economía de Argentina, Sergio Massa, y el ministro de Exteriores, Santiago Cafiero, en la que han estado acompañados por directivos del Fondo Saudí para el Desarrollo (SFD).
